Barbara and I went to funeral home last night for Danny Taylor's visitation.  Sad situation with Jim losing both of his younger brothers.  Danny was Waltrip Class of '68 and David passed away in 2010, he was Waltrip Class of '66.

Beau and Diane were also there last night.

Our prayers are with Jim this morning and always as the services are being held.

Hugs, J

I am praying for Jim Taylor and his family.  My sister and I are close.  Like everyone in our age bracket I have felt grief.  It never gets easier, but I cannot imagine walking in it without Jesus holding onto me.

Well said Pat, well said....

On October 3, a Saturday,  I and Diane of course, will be hosting a RETARMENT party for Diane, and I guess me too, since I didnt get one when I retarred, although that was 15 year ago...

Anyway, all are invited, when? Saturday, October 3, time? from early as you want to get here, till as late as you want to leave...

You can post on the forum if you are be wanting to come...or you can email us at katmandu45hw@gmail.com

orrrrrrrrr, you can simply crank the old handle on ye olde kitchen fone and call 713-560-0676.....

If it rains too much days before the party, or day of party, then we will have to postpone it...dont think because you have a 4 wheel drive veeeehicle, that you can make it through the quagmire, cause you cant...I have a 4 weel drive tractor that cant get through the stuff...

If it is a nice day, no rain, come on down, or up....those with VETTES, and or small sports cars, and motorcycles,  need to leave them at home, because the road to get to our driveway is a rocky road, literally...bring pictures of your vettes, sportscars and motorcycles....

We will be at Fudds week after next, so if you have any quextions Diane will be sure to answer them....dont ask me anything, because I'm old and cant remember squat, plus Diane over rules me anyhow....

Remember, you can call anytime, or email us, or just get on the forum, (is that all right Jackie?) and talk to us....

Your frien and party hardy retardy...RoberT E. Lee Wanninsky

Thanks to everyone for the numerous messages and calls of sympathy and support.  The sudden loss of a loved one is traumatic to say the least. It's only bearable with the support of family and friends.

In addition to praying for sweet Lola and Scotty's mom I would like to ask our classmates to pray for Jimmy Stockton. His grandson Andrew was involved in a serious automobile accident last night and was rushed to the emergency room with critical injuries. I don't have any more details but will update when I get them.

Sunday, Sept 6 - An update from Jimmy this morning: The young man that was driving the car , who Andrew met while working in Minnesota, lost his life. Andrew has broken bones in his legs and lacerations and bruises to his head. Doctors will update his condition later today.

YES, deffinetly prayers and good thoughts all round...Lola, Scottys mom, and Scotty too...Andrew, grandson of Jimmy Stockton, and for the family of the young man killed...man oh man....

Rode with the Patriot Guard Riders in the funeral for Deputy Darren Goforth...we had two rides that day, so had to split up, one group at Houston National, and the other group at Woodlawn!  Had about 150 in each group...amazing sight and sound!  First time I've ridden with the PGR in a year or so....

Heard the knuckleheads from westboro baptist church were going to try to disrupt Deputy Goforths funeral...that would have been stupid even for them!  Never showed up! Perhaps one of the few smart things they have done!  I didnt figure they would show up!  theyve pulled permits before on some of the rides I've been on, but never showed...

Hey Jan, thanks for posting the photo...did you see them at the game?  We love those folks bettern family...
the beautiful girl in the middle is our official unofficial grandaughter....what a prize, what a pride and joy she is...

Been battling lots of things up here on sam wann hill...pain, too many projects, fog, rain, drought, bugs, yes and snakes...I think some of Johnnys have made their way to the hill !  Fortunately they were just "glossy" sankes, whatever in the heck that is, and wasnt supposed to be pyesonous. Never heard of that one before.  All I know, is it had a viper head, and looked mean, and was shedding its clothes right up next to and including our house.  (a streaker snake?)

Fortunately for him, her, it, I didnt kill it.  We had a relocating program that just started, so I  relocated it to the creek about 300 yards away.  I know, I'm getting soft...in mah olde age !   But what the heck, maybe if I run across him or his kin, they will remember I was nice to em, and not bite me....probably not!

Last week we got 6 inches of rain in 2 hours...now we get .002 of an inch about every other day!  I guess some day things will calm down and settle in and get back to normal...whatever in the heck "normal" is !    We have had fog here so many mornings, cant keep count.  I remember as a kid, it always got fog in September!

Or, at leasst that is what I remember...september school starts, fog in september..hollereen in October, thanksgiving in November, Christmas in December,  winter for a few days in january...kite flying in the wind in March...Easter somewhere between March and April shawrs, flawers in May, Schools out, cept for me, I went to sumer school for 20 or 30 years, then my birthday,  hot till september, when we got fog, then it started all over again...but we could count on it being the same most years! ! !

I had lots to say, but seems I've forgotten what ! ! ! oh well, Hope things improve for all...Hey Henny, gave your number to my boys...they are very busy, but one or tother will call...eventually...I will remember them to recollect to call you...

Ok, time to deplane...fog is breaking up, can now see the end of our porch...lost one of the cats on the screened in porch, till the fog lifted, some....I heard her meowing, but couldnt see her....

Keep the sun at your six and ride bolodly  ride...
your frien and foggy froggy weatherman...Robert E. Lee Wanninski
