Good Morrow mine fellow waltriptexians...
Been havin a devil of a time with my lungs and surrounding body. I think there may have been a mistake of sorts. I was suppose to remain 18 for at least a year, but noooooo, wham now I'm 200 years old. Wisdom comes with being that old, cept I cant remember just perzactly what it is!  YOU WILL NOT BELIEVE WHAT I SAWR LAST THURSDAY ! ! ! ! ! Go ahead guess...no, not Elvis, although some clever clown saw that I had a cowboy hat on, which I pretty much wear all the time, cept on my bike, in the shower and in bed, anyway he asked was I going to the rodeo. No, last rodeo I went to, Elvis was there. What could top that? Didnt see any need to go to any others after that one!

Any way, you wont believe what I saw last thursday...Ok, I dont see any hads going up, anyone, anyone? Ok, I'll share it with ya...are you ready for this????

A BALD EAGLE! ! ! ! ! Yup, my first ever sighting. You'll never guess where I saw that bad boy! on highway 290 about 25 miles from 43rd between Bauer road and Katy hockley Rd. On the outbound side, of the feeder, just sitting on a pile of dirt. Bout had a wreck I was so stunned. And, for all you doubting thomases, I have a credible witness, MY BELOVED! ! ! SHE SAW IT TOO!!!  That bad boy was just sitting on this mound of dirt and looked to be about 4 ft tall. There was no mistaking that it was a Bald Eagle! I am still in shock. I figured my chances of seeing one of those was slim and none, and slim left town last weeek.

I guesss now, that makes me and EAGLE SCOUT for sure. I know, you more whirldly travelers probably have seen millions of bald eagles, flying and sitting and hunting! Did it feel like you saw Elvis up close, or a UFO...it made me feel sort of special when I saw Elvis up close, and the couple of UFOs I have seen...but I will have to say, this sighting was even more specialer than most anything I have ever seen... made my day. I knew they were in the area, so to speak, because Mr Thiessen said he and his golfing buddies saw a bunch of bald eagles at the golf course they play at. I thought it was Inwood, but my beloved informs me that Inwood is closed. Well no matter, I have now jined the elite BALD EAGLE sighters club. I still cant believe it. Closest I've come to seeeing a bald eagle, is in a National Geographic, or maybe at the zoo.

I figured it was a good omen, but then things went to hell in a handbasket. My lungs decided I'd had enough fun for one day, now they have closed up and feels like I'm trying to breathe through a straw. Had to junk up on albuterol...God I hate that stuff...as much good as it does, it just wreaks havoc with my central nervous system. Maybe I can stave off my annual trip to the ER for breathing treatments with their nebulizer. Their doses are stronger than they send home with you.

Well, it can always be woiser! ! ! Looked at some property up around Bellville, and it is beautiful, cept for one thing...it is on the side of a hill, and I'm not a mountain goat...an old goat, but not a mountain goat! ! !

Along with the Bald Eagle, we saw a plethora of hawks. Got to see one in it's thermal riding hunting mode...where it just hangs in the air, not going forward, or any direction, and not flapping it's wings, just sitting in the air...then zowie, back goes the wings, and diving straight down to terra firma, and whatever unlucky little critter happened to be there. (they say they have  clocked a hawk in a dive at over 200 miles an hour) ...I think thats what they say! ! ! I could be wrong I suppose!

I found a great place to eat, called BACKDOOR PIZZA. It is at the Hager road exit off 290, coming or going. A short hop to old 290, and take a left at the light, and on the left is a biker bar, and behind that is the BACKDOOR PIZZA. The food is excellent. I had Lazagna, and DW had ravioli. I would have ordered a hamburger, but didnt see the menu on the other wall till after I ordered. Well no matter, the food was 2nd to none. It is located where the town of HOCKLEY was. Now it;s just a name on a map. The old Hockley Livestock yard is still there, decaying, and eroding, but still standing. I'll bet they havent used that place for 30 or more years. I guess someone is keeping it handy just in case the trail drives pick up.

You know, I noticed one thing missing from our house, an item that you generally could find on the coffee table, or end table, or bedside table or bathroom...A NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC...We quit taking those a long time ago. I must have had a zillion of em saved up. Finally had to throw them all out. they had book mites or some such critters in em, made us sneeze! I think I'm gonna go out to a news stand and see if they still carry the Nat Geo. News stand???? Thats another thing I havent seen in a fortnight or zillions of years. We're losing our culture!

Ok, I've hit a wrong button, and this thing does not want to line feed. Guess it's dimming the lights, letting me know to shutter down. I do go on dont I! Oh, well, I mean well or is it manuel...ah, no matter. Keep the sun at your six, and maybe you too can spot a bald eagle...not to be confused with my bald head. your frien and brother the EAGLE SCOUT me...

Good Morrow mine waltritexians.
Your local eagle scout celebrity here. Just got back from patrolling the hood with the boys, one at a time of course. I can report all is quiet on the western front. Not much wildlife left down at Cole Creek, with them beautifying it all to heck and gone! No ducks, no coots, no cranes and nobody left on. I sure do hope all the turtles survive! Been my experience, and the most correct of all the sayings is, "IF IT AINT BROKE, DONT FIX IT"...Those are the truest woids ever done spoke! ! !

Do we have any eagle scouts in our midst? I know of only one, and he had to move to Oklahoma City in his Junior year, David David! No, I'm not stutterin, his first name was David and his last name was David, just in case you dont remember him. He came back to visit sometime in the early 80s. Got to have lunch or dinner with him. Drove him around the old hood. Not on the hood, in the hood! We had lots of fun back in the day when he lived on 43rd between the Theissens and David Jones. I think Bill Trail lived on 43rd around there also. I saw Bill out in Diego, shortly after the civil war in 65 or 66.

Hey WTL, thanks for the discount list. In the spirit of senior discounts, My beloved and I feel we need to add our antique boutique to the list. Probably 10 percent roundabouts there of or a dollar, whichever is smaller. So if any of yall Waltritexians need ANY MORE junk, er antiques, just come on by the old Northwest Mall, where JC Penneys was, and look for the orange neon open sign, and thats our booth!  Oh, our church, the little country church in the city, is having a garage sale! I forgot when, so I guess if you want to gnow the perzact date, youll have to ask Diane. I think it's next weekend, but dont quote me!

Ok, time to deplane, depart, and otherwise amscray...me and Coop got school today. I miss not getting to go during spring break and summer break. Gonna really miss it when one or both of us gets too old to cut the mustard. Speaking of mustard, had some chocolate chip cookies for breakfast this morn, but dont worry, they were free range! Had some free range apple pie for b reakfast Sunday morn.

I believe I was signing off wasnt I! yall have a good day and a pleasant tomorrow, if at all possible. Keep the sun at your six and fly with the eagles...

your eagle scout brother and frien...Jabberwrockey

Wayne, I agree with you. I can't see myself living anywhere but Texas. I have given the California wine country storng consideration at various times but it can't top Texas. Particularly since we're developing our own wine industry. I can think of five generations of my family that are from Texas. I'd have to do a little genealogy research to see exactly when the first family member was actually born here. I know the family settled here shortly after the conclusion of the War of Northern Aggression.  Hope everyone has a great week!

Keep on dancing,

Some of you might ask if I’m so proud of Texas, why did I name my son Denver? Well I thought I needed to explain my twisted logic:

I always like the name ‘Dallas’ for a girl or a boy but we had a jug headed horse that we called Dallas when the former Mrs. Lake was carrying the subject child. She liked the name ok but said that the older kid would be confused if we had a horse and he had a little brother both named Dallas so the name was deleted from the list.

Since Fort Worth was too long and anybody living in Houston would have issues with the same name, we compromised and called him Denver. True story, you can’t make this red neck logic up!

ps: Denver lived in Denver CO for a couple of years and did have confusion when filling out forms as they would tell him, no stupid not where you live, what’s your first name?

HELLO, THIS IS A TEST, TESTING 12345678910....TESTING TESTING TESTING HOW NOW BROWN COW, THE QUICK BROWN FOX JUMPED OVER THE LAZY DOGS BACK, NOW IS THE TIME FOR ALL GOOD MEN TO COME TO THE AID OF THEIR BROTHER.

THIS IS A TEST, HAD THIS BEEN A REAL EMERGENCY, YOU WOULD HAVE BEEN TOLD WHAQT TO DO,,,

03/06/13 02:47 PM #5560

Beau Wann, Jr.

Denver is a swell name! ! ! Remember Tuesday Weld, from "The Many Loves of Doby Gillis"??? She said she use to have a lot of problems in school when she filled out forms. Wish I had a great name like Denver...or even Cinncinati, or Marble Falls, anything but the handles I have...I absolutely hate em, hate hearing them too...

Can anyone tell me what button I hit, to make this thing go crazy? It wouldnt line feed when I would hit enter, and when I typed, it would put the word I was typing on the line below, and then when I started on the next word, it would put the preceding word on the line above, then it went all wide on me...

Oh well....HEY, no comment on my Bald Eagle sighting???? Has that gotten so hohum nowdays? Agreed, he wasnt in his native habitat, like colorado etc, but seein one on 290 is even more specialer, dontchathink? Guess I'll just go take a nap...

Ok, you dont want to talk about my eagle, how about KIM NOVAK? Yeah, I thought you would! She was 80 years old Feb 13 this year. Just sawr an interview with her and Robert Osborne filmed this year. She is manic depressive per her! I thought I saw something different about her in some of the movies I've seen, different from the other actresses.

"Bell Book and Candle" is on now, with Jimmy Stewart, and Kim Novak, and Jack Lemmon, Howard McNear (floyd the barber in Andy Griffith show) Ernie Kovacs, Elsa Lancaster, Janic Rule and others. It's suppose to be a comedy, and so far, I havent laughed or even cracked a smile! Dont see much about it that interests me. You're suppose to like the characters in movies and books, and so far, I dont really like any of the characters. I do like all the actors though, just no the characters they are suppose to be.  It was made in 1958 right in the middle of the "beatnik" movement. Not really a likeable period in movies and music.

I do like Ms Novaks cat, Piwacket, in the movie. A beautiful siamese cat! What a great name, PIWACKET! Ok, guess I'll go to bed now.

Beau Wann, Jr.

I saw Kim Novak on 290 once...

Spotted some oreos on 290...had em for breakfast this morn...they were free range...

03/07/13 12:20 PM #5563

Teddie Jordan

Now there's some news. That made me laugh out loud old friend!  I think I remember Kim being kind of free range back in her younger days.

I'm going to venture a guess that you had a thing for her at one time. I had a crush on Kitrik as a kid, like a lot of other boys in Houston..

Not to sound like old folks talking about medical procedures, but I had a colonoscopy this morning and man I forgot just how much fun that whole process is. The good news is I can go another 200,000 miles before I have to have another one.

03/07/13 09:12 PM #5564

Beau Wann, Jr.

I liked kitrik also too...in fact I was an equal opportunity lady female girl woman lover...cept for one thing, I was so shy and scared to death of em...

You had "THE" proceedure! ! ! oh what fun. Thats sort of "good news bad news" situation isnt it! But, what about my bald eagle I saw? I was hoping for maybe a Nobel prize nomination. Why not? There's already been several chaps, unnamed here, that received that auspicious, nay suspicious award, and apparently for no real reason other than that they were just...them! So, seeing MY bald eagle, on MY highway, I think is worthy of some sort of award, eh what?

Pegasus and I soared today, hoping to come across MY eagle, but alas and alack, no such luck. But we will continue our search in the not so distant future! Aside from NOT seeing my eagle today, Pegasus and I had a marvelous adventure on our flight into the wild blue yonder!

Guess what we're watching...nope, try again, ok I'll give you a tiny hint...CAN CAN with all the usual suspects in it. Not being a huge fan of musicals, anymore, I sorta like this one. I remember seeing it at the Garden Oaks Theatre back in 1960 when it was released. Although suffering from double vision tonight, I thought I recognized Juliette Prowse as one of the CAN CAN dancers, which was confirmed by my beloved. Now, that was one stunning lady!

Also too, Continental Divide, with John Belushi and Blair Brown is on at the same time! I liked that one.

Ok, gotta go get horizontal! Seems riding nowdays puts a strain on my already screaming nerves. Feels like my entire body has been scraped on the concrete on 290 for about a fortnight or fort! Ok, they're doing the CAN CAN, and my toe is tappin in rythym. Sorta a catchy tune donchathink? Snappy little dance too!

Ok, Monsieur Lone Eagle signing off...

May you have calm seas and a following wind...
Youre frien and brother Jabberwrockypiwacketmonsieurloneeagle

Teddie, I there anything you don't share with your classmates?

Beau,

WRT seeing Bald Eagles in the Houston area, I guess you are not the only. This was on KTRK in Jan 2013. Google 'bald eagle in houston' and you can see the video. We have been seeing some along the coast the last few years, mostly in winter as I think they migrate like other birds of prey. Jimmy Hilsher has seen one at his golf course off 290 a couple of years ago too. I see them up North around the lakes, quite a sight to see them in flight but I've never seen one swoop down and take dinner - that would be pretty cool eh?

There's something majestic flying the skies near the Texas Medical Center and it explains why so many people around Hermann Park are looking up in the air.

{C}

It started with a walk around the park 11 days ago that Aimee Keeney two with her two young sons. Connor, 7, looked up.

"I saw this bald eagle over my head," he recalled. "I said, 'Wow, Mom, a bald eagle!' And my mom, who saw the country's national bird many times in Alaska, was skeptical."

Connor, you see, is also a self-described nature lover, and he knows his birds.

He said, "It had a white tail and it had some brown wings, brown wings on both sides."

The proof could be seen through Aimee Keeney's camera. She captured photos of a bald eagle in the foreground and a high rise building across from the park in the background. She followed that with a series of images that shows the bald eagle in flight, soaring above the golf course. As it turns out, the eagle has a family.

Aimee said, "There was a second one in that tree over there and we watched them for the next 10 minutes circling the golf course."

The eagle's offspring was also spotted -- a juvenile between one and two years old.

There is one eagle at the neighboring Houston Zoo. Liberty was shot and left for dead in Waller County. Unable to return to the wild, she's lived at the zoo ever since. But bald eagles have been seen in these parts before.

Houston Zoo curator Hannah Bailey said, "Since Houston's the Bayou City, we do have plenty of fish around for them and you do see them on occasion."

To be precise, you can best see the eagles around Hermann Park right before sunset, according to Connor and his four-year-old brother.

Beau Wann, Jr.

Oh right, what the heck does a four year old know????  Next thing you'll be a tellin me is that there is no Santa Claus, Easter Bunny no Tooth Fairy...uh huh yeah, sure right...

Ok, maybe, just maybe mind you, that there are a few other eagle wannnabees in the area....mine is so much more specialier than those...mine is THE DIRECT DECENDANT of the eagle that met my 10th or 11th great grandfather William Claiborne,  10 or 11 generations ago, as they landed in Jamestown off that unforgettable ship they sailed from england on, whose name escapes me now, but is well known throughout the ship whirld.  (my grandson knows, as he did a paper for school on his ancesters. so I will ask him next time I see him)...

My eagle is so much more specialer...He is the direct decendant of THE MODEL for the United States Eagle...yeah, now how you gonna be? I still want a Nobel prize...

Ok, gotta go out on Eagle patrol with my "Sheep protector, and sheep herder", Cooper and Jacck...The Great Pyrenees side of Cooper thinks he has to protect said sheep, and Catahoula Jack thinks he has to herd said sheep, and ever now and again, get to eat one of em...

Beau,

You wanted feedback on your bald eagle, too bad some little kid/Jr. Audubon stole your thunder – be careful what you ask for.

All,

Thanks to the internet, I am finally learning a little history about WWII – check out the incredible post war pix below and especially:

#27 Soviets set up North Korea? – and I thought it was the Chinese that set up North Korea

# 31 Nuke test off Bikini Marshal Islands - quite a blast

#32 XB 35 Bomber

# 35 Hanging of Dr. Klaus Karl Shilling

#45 Last Jap surrenders in PI in 1974 – now that’s a patriot!

http://www.theatlantic.com/infocus/2011/10/world-war-ii-after-the-war/100180/

I’m not sure if I never want to see the world at war again or better understand that if the USA and it’s Western allies do not protect the rest of the world, evil forces will inevitably do the same again.

Confused in League City,

Wtl

Ps On a brighter note, I had a blast catching reds in some reeeeeeeeeal shallow and clear water yesterday until the wind ran me off.

Beau Wann, Jr.

MR CHRISTIAN ! ! ! ! ! He sawr em at the zoooooo, what kinda bird watchin is that...I sawr em offfff 290 for cryin out loud...sittin on a pile o dirt...YOU PEOPLE ! ! ! ! And besides, you cant believe anything a 4 year old tells you!

You caught reds, Mr Christian? Chicoms? Or Ruskkies?

We attended Paige's and Richard's wedding today and it was a lovely family affair.

Paige was beautiful, Richard was handsome, both were smiling, and all of Paige's children and grandchildren were beautiful and smiling as well. Her son performed the ceremony and did a great job. It was really cool hearing him say, and do you Mom, take Richard.....?

Quite a few classmates were in attendance and Beau was the official photographer, so you know there will be many good pictures.

And did I mention the cake was delicious.

03/09/13 11:39 PM #5570

Scotty Croom

what a great wedding....spent time w/paige's family...ended evening w/dinnner w/my mom,sister and brother-in law....then as we left there were all of paige's family again....

03/10/13 04:26 AM #5571

Beau Wann, Jr.

Yes, in concurance with all the above. What a great time was had by all. As Teddie said both bride and groom were beautiful and handsome respectively. Paiges daughter-in-law, Dafney (sp), made the cake and icing and it was superb, although sweet enough to put one in a diabetic coma, but a chance to take none the less. It must be mentioned here, that Dafney performed long and tirelessly in her quest to make "Moms" wedding a success, and she succeeded!

Why yes, I was the photographer. I guess, the last one standing. "here, take this camera and take pictures"...I do hope they turn out ok, as I am a "blind photographer"..."The deaf dumb and blind kid, sure plays a mean pin ball..." I love family functions! This wedding and all the folks in attendance, made one feel like it was a family gettogether, thanksgiving so to speak! Loved it! ! ! Didnt keep count, but more than half dozen of the bride and grooms "Waltrip family", were in attendance!

Paiges son that officiated, his wife sang the Lords Prayer, and it was magnificent. Nary a falter or semi flat note, but was sung flawlessly! Beverly Sills could not have done better. What a wonderful God given talent. WOW! ! !  Teddie and I strolled down Oaks Presbyterian memory lane for a few minutes. They were married in that church, and Diane and I were married in that church, and I forget who else was mentioned, but many more and others too...

There was also a lot of talk about my bald eagle sighting. The crowd was all abuzz and a tither with anticipation about meeting, "THA EAGLE SCOUT"! ! ! I graciously accepted the nomination from the floor for the Nobel peace prize, Pulitzer Prize, Academy Award, Tony award, Bayou Bucket and "Hell of a Swell Fellow award"! ! ! There was talk about me running for dictator in 2016! But, we shall see what we shall see, eh what!

Why yes, I do know it's 3:39 AM. And just yesterday, it would have been 2:39 AM. How I hate daylight savings time. They ought to change the name to "screw up an old mans mind time"...I know, I know, fall forward, spring backward, or some such crud, turn around, dont drown, when in danger and in doubt, run in circles scream and shout...etc etc. I dont know why I have such a hard time with DST! ! !

All I know is that they tell me I lose an hour of sleep. JUST AN HOUR???? Geee, just an hour would be swell, and an improvement!  I went to bed too early, again, and now up at the crack of midnight thirty. Dont know why I cant just fall asleep in my chair like any respectable old man! ! ! I know why, there is generally a line of cats waiting to get in my lap. I doze off, and wham, one cat has jumped off and another jumped on! Then they spend time pokin holes in me whilst kneading their claws, and me needing a pain pill and a transfusion! Ah the little darlins! ! ! !

I knoticed the time change on my computer, but my cell phone has not changed! OMG, which time do I obey? Computer, or cell phone??? Oh the humanity! ! ! Sure wish I could go back to sleep, but I'm on my 3rd cup O Joe, and really getting into the "Weather Channel" programing! "ZUMBA ZUMBA ZUMBA" just thinking about whether I want a "Brazillina butt", or washboard abs! What a choice! What I'd really like, is about 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep, and they can keep the butt and abs! Sounds like a comedy team...Ladies and gentlemen, please give a round of applause for the comedy duo, "BUTT AND ABS"...drum roll please! ! !

I must say, that Diane worked as hard as anyone at the wedding, especially the clean up. She weilded a broom and dustpan, and mop like a pro! Being an old swabby, I tried to wrestle the mop away from her, but she would have none of it. She swept up rose petals and mopped up spilled coffee and punch, wow, what a trooper ! Guess I will have to do something nice for her tomorrow, er today, or whatever in the heck day it is! Maybe I'll buy her a new generator! ! ! or new tires for my MC!!!! Oh well, I'll think of somethink!

Did I tell you, she bought a ratchet for me for valentines day? I dont know why, nor does she! She said she saw it on TV, and decided I needed it! Why, I only have a dozen or so ratchets, so I guess I needed another one. It is different and better than all my others, so I reserved a special spot for it on my workbench. Right in the middle in plain sight, lest I need it, voila, thar she is!

Still not sleepy! You dont reckon it's the 3 cups of coffee do you? Just checked my cell phone, and it's still an hour behind. Of course I've always been about a couple of days behind, so maybe an hour wont matter so much! Ok, guess I'll wash a load of clothes!

On a sad note, the downtown Foleys/Macys store closed! That's about the last of the old stores left downtown.  Boo dadgum Hoo! Our culture is fading into being just a memory, that no one will remember, but us old codgers! Who will remember us?

Hmmm, I hear a strange noise outside...Catahoula Jack isnt going crazy, and he hears things from miles away...Sounded like a rather large bullfrog! Guess I'll arm myself and check it out....who am I kidding, I'm always armed!!! Maybe a larger caliber! 9MM? 38SPl? 357? 45? Decisions decisions, always decisions! Good rule of thumb, one can never have TOO MUCH firepower! ! !

Maybe I'lll be sporting about it like my dear old granny, she just used a broom or mop. I prefered the broom, cause the mop was wet and slimy and stinky. whew! ! ! Anyone invade her space got a face full of whatever came off the floor...it was widely known among burglars, to stay away from Granny Jones house! ! ! Now if granpa was awake, and I said if he was awake, the intruder would get a load of buckshot and a good cussin besides!

Dont hear the bullfrog anymore, whew! Didnt relish going to war on an empty stomach and tired and sleepy to boot! Speakin of boots, I need an new pair! Ok, thats what I'll do then, buy Diane a new pair of boots for me, yeah, thats the ticket!

Oh, I think we are going to our antique booth Sunday, er today, after church. Probably take along Cooper to help soften up the crowd. The owner of the mall asked if Cooper and I would be interested in being  greeters at one of the doors! I dont know, need to think about what that would entail. I'd have to learn how to tell time again, and actually be on time ssomewhere, and smile and say, "welcome to Thompsons antique mall" "have a nice day" etc...Wonder how much it pays!

Ok, time to sign off!  OH REALLY? Yup, gonna do er for real this time!

your frien and brother, THA WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER AND EAGLE SCOUT...

Congrats and Best of Luck to Paige and Richard.

I think that some sort of ‘Cupid Awards’ should go to Jackie for implementing the Waltrip64 website, Barbara for helping out all the time, Johnny and Scottie for the organizational work, Teddie for promoting the get togethers at Fudds and for the ongoing entertainment blogs of Beau that may have provided a social platform for getting those two hooked up.  Sorry I missed the big event, maybe someone will post some of the pix.

Too bad about d/t Foley’s/Macy’s store closing, what’s next? Drive Ins or Garden Oaks theaters Chuck Wagons or Sears @ 43rd and Shepard or the Houston Chronicle or Sat Postal Delivery no more White House tours?  Blame it all on the sequester! 50 years later and the times are still a changin’, except maybe for the Vatican which in this age of so many e-media methods available, are still using the tried and true smoke signals.

Hoping for rain from the Eagle’s Nest in League City,

wtl

There was talk of closing the sears on Shepherd. Of course, it is but just a shell of it's former self. No more toy dept, no more sporting goods, boats, saddles, paint, hardware...Why not sears, they closed Monkey wards nigh unto 10 or more year ago.

I dont have any pics of the wedding to post, as I gave Rich the SD card right out of the camera. I think I took some 300 pictures. If it were film, that would be a small fortune! Yeah digical ! ! ! !

Have fun tonight!  Hugs, J

Robert Derrick

Beau and Wayne, surprised a huge red tail hawk in my back yard just the other day, making a meal of a rabbit. He took off with that rabbit and made it to tree top level before he had to let it drop. It was quite a site watching him flapping those big wings, struggling to get his dinner to a safer place.
