Even though I do not advertise my furniture refinishing business, I do keep busy. My primary enjoyment, aside from family and grandkids, is to volunteer. The primary organizations where I volunteer: My church where I am a Eucharistic Minister as well as a 3rd & 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus. Since 2015 I have been a Court Appointed Special Advocate "CASA" in Fort Bend County for children in need of assistance and independent court representation. For the past 10 years I have been a member of the "Patient Family Advisory Council" at Methodist West Hospital as well as volunteering in the AOD (Admittance Observation Discharge) area of the outpatient surgery center. I am also a member of SCORE, which is part of the Small Business Administration assisting new and existing startup companies in development of their company. Since it is now rodeo season in Houston, I would be remiss in not mentioning that for the past 6 years I have been one of the thousands of volunteers. I am part of the Commercial Exhibit Team responsible for assisting all of the exhibitors and food vendors. My wife's and I greatest joy is babysitting the youngest grandkids whenever we can, or when we are asked.
