Beau, I always enjoy your posts...even though I usually just read and don't respond.  But love hearing about Walton's Mountain and your description of life there.  Will be thinking of you AND praying for great results on May 1, with your upcoming surgery.  Hang in and keep on posting!

Beau Wann, Jr.

Terry, what a pleasant surprise!  Thank you for responding, and for your well wishes!  Means alot.

I finally figured out what all the hubbub is with the bluebirds, cardinals, and wascally wabbits...IT'S MATING SEASON ! ! ! !  A  brick  doesnt have to hit me in the head to figure out what's going on...well, yes it does!  Sometimes the obvious is not! To me.  Just figured out what the "birds and bees" is all about!

But...We found 5 wittle babie wabbits...they're at it again??????   Comeon guys and gals, show a little restraint!  At least get a room for crying out loud!   Remember about the brick in the head...bear that in mind smoky! ! !

Was up all night here on San Wann Hill...storms are disturbing....NAH! REALLY? Yup ! ! ! dont like em!
Even through all the huffin and puffin and lightning, we only got barely a half  eench (east texas for inch).
glad for that I can tell you!  The CHIMACS weather station went down for a while! Our weather ball bounced down offin (east texas for off) it's perch, and wind sock is somewhere blowing in the wind....

Sat on the front porch all night looking down into a valley of darkness, lit up by natures fireworks and light show!
Every different flash, and there weere (typo) many, produced a plethora (thats a lot) of blaze and shadows!
At one point it appeared that dragons were marching up San Wann Hill...Hugged Jack and Cooper a little tighter, or were they hugging me! No matter, we share a common bond...WE HATE STORMS ! ! ! !

We bought a "THUNDER SHIRT" for fraidy Jacky!  Dont think it woiks (joisey for works)!  Cooper doesnt seem to notice the storms, but he does like to snuggle, if you can snuggle with a blonde buffalo.

What a contrast, sun is now out and blazing, whilst only a few whiles ago it was dark and stormy...from a distance, without me looking glasses, the cardinals look like live red flawrs (east texas for flowers)...well duh, of course they're live...just remember that ol brick in t he head!

Cooked bacon and eggs this morn for all boarders...yup, Jackie and Cooper got bacon and eggs also too! Et em out on the front porch!  The combined smells of hickory smoke, rain, fields of native grass and bacon, eggs and toast, is an intoxicating symphony for the knose! ! !

OH no, just thought about our lightning bugs...ah dew hope that the storm didnt blow em into the next county or kill em....man, just found em night before last, and now they is decimalated (brain dead for decimated)!

Oh well...red and green, red and green, what a contrast. I remember my foist cardinal sighting and blue bird sighting. didnt see them again for decades, so it seemed. Now they put on a spectacular "cirque de sol pallette" just for us, and every day too!

We are still unpacking and getting rid of stuff! Where ever you find something one day probably wont stay there for very long.  We have gotten rid of at least 2 house full of belongings for the last 2 years, and still dont have it down to a manageble lot!

Take for instance some of our outside stuff (junque in any dialect), like frinstance our statue of St Frances, the patron saint of critters, and our ever useful cast iron turtle sprinkler, and concrete boid bath...all heavy items...I set them up under two huiasache trees, and also a boid feeder, with feed!

Went out on three consecutive morns, and they were all tumped over. "Hmmm", says I .  Right profound wouldnt you say!       My fertile but retarded brain was thinking "grizzly bear, mountain lion, land shark, sasquatch...! ! ! Had to be one of those bad boys tumpin (DuBarry for turning over stuff) over the aforementioned.

Anyway, set all the aforementioned upright 3 consecutive days, when a fourth morn I peaked out the winder light (east texas for window) when much to my surprise, it was HECKLE AND JECKLE the bad boy crows from our youte in Mayberry! ! ! !   These two bad boys were huge, big as full growed red tail hawks, they were!  I watched em tump over ol St Frances, then the pots of flawrs, then the blue fat cat, the cast iron turtle sprinkler, and then jump on the boidy bath.  I didnt want to pick that bad boy back up, again, so I ran out there and shooed em away.

They just turned and looked at me like the punks they were, "hey dude, you want something"?  Well, I chunked a couple of rocks at em and took the broom to em and they dispersed without further incident.

I wouldnt have believed a crow was that strong.  But they were turning the stuff over to search for fallen seeds, since the bird fieeder was too small for them to alight on!  Hells bells, wonder why they just didnt haul the feeder off to their lair or hooch or whatever they call their home.  Well, I guess they dont call a flock of crow a "murder of crow" for nothing!

Ok, been on too long, probably lost my cornection...lets see shall we!

Keep the sun at your 6 and ride boldly ride....

Your frien and brother in  classmate,    Quasimodo, crunchback of San Wann Hill...

My book Creative Synergy is finally in print!  The publisher (Fourth Dimension Press) did a beautiful job on it.

The book is about the creative process and includes multidisciplinary examples, ranging from individuals to groups.  "Creative Synergy" means activating the energy of various parts to make a greater whole: your mind with the universal mind, you unconscious and conscious minds, you and a partner, the various elements of a work of art, and the various parts of a system.

I am excited that at long last, the book is in print.  You can get it from Amazon or from A.R.E./Fourth Dimension Press.

Terry, so wonderful to have you on the forum!  We have so many who just "read" but don't respond and that's okay, but it's always a thrill to hear from everyone.  So please let us know you're there, even if it's just a "Hi" always makes my day!

Bunny, congrats on your new book!

Hugs.

Kay Watters, we heard about the tornadoes and storms that came through your area this morning, they have mentioned the Anderson-Shiro area and know that is near you. Are you ok?

I realize in asking that if you were hit you probably don't have power much less internet but please let us hear from you if you read this.

Well, it's my turn to tell a neighborhood tale!  Terry is my oldest friend from Black Junior High days. We had just moved to Ella Lee Forest in the "high" 7th grade.  I was walking to school (yes walking) from Lehman down Oak Forest Blvd. and met Terry at the corner of Oak Forest and Candlelight.  She lived on Candlelight.  We have been friends ever since.  We have watched our kids grow up, lived next door to each other on Candlelight as adults, shared happiness and sadness in our lives, losses and loves.  She and John looked in on my mother and even picked her up from the bus station once.  Mom still talks about the delicious soup Terry brought to her on one of her visits.  There are tales within this tale, but I would have to have permission from Terry to share those!  smiley We are still friends after 57 years!  That's a mighty long time!  Just had to share that!

Beau, you will have lots of prayers coming your way on Friday.  I know you will do well and feel so much better when it's all over!  Diane will take excellent care of you and you will be back to your "old" self in no time!

Beau Wann, Jr.

Hello myne fyne and wunnerful Waltrip family! ! ! Thanks one and all for the well wishes on my sugery. I was ok with having it until I signed or initialed all the "could go wrong" forms.
There were at least 50, "might need reoperation, long term care, more pain and FATAL" outcomes! Nothing came up about, "well hell, youre gonna be just fine"! ! ! !

Of course now I'm worried! Not so much about not being around anymore, but about being an invalid and Diane having to take care of me! And if worse comes to worser, about leaving Diane behind to fend for herself against...???? whatever is out there!

I get all of this from the "cover our ass" forms I had to sign to protect the hospital and doctors....what about my ass? It's cute and all, but dont they should wanna cover it, and protect it? Oh well, after having put all the aforementioned in print that will be viewed by my best of all friends and family, Waltrip forum attendees, now it doesnt seem so bad. Good ol Doc Frahnkensteen said I will be able to walk out after recovery!

Thanks for being there for me. It is so stress relieving to have you all and knowing you are there! Hard to explain, but maybe yall know what I'm talking about.

They told me to wear some warm socks...they gonna be operating in a freezer???? Well, if they warned me, then I shall comply! I have some heavy "BIG BIRD" knee high socks I use when I hunt polar bears. I shall be warm, and cute! ! ! One of the nurses ssaid I will be wearing a "warm air" gown...???? (I'm a guy, I dont wear gowns! Kings robe maybe?) Doctor Gould, where are you?????

I was so exhausted Monday, after the storm, the CATSCAN and bloodlettin, for preop stuff, I slept all the way home from college station to Chappell Hill! ! ! I NEVER SLEEP IN THE CAR, NO MATTER HOW SLEEPY I AM...but this time I was out, on the trip back, then slept 3 hours once I got home, and this with no drugs involved at all!

WOW...WHAT A STORM! ! ! Early Monday morn, about 3:30 or so, all hell was breaking loose up here on Sam Wann Hill, and I mean ALL HELL...Poor Jack, we put his bed in Dianes closet, and covered him with a sheet and that's where he stayed till we left for the Hospital at 9, 30 minutes late! ! !

Cooper was snoring and ignoring the storm on his orthopedic bed, Annie Bob was snoozing on a fuzzy blanket under our bed, Lacy was snoozing among the dirty socks and tshirts in the laundry basket, and Sammie was upside down on our bed between two pillows. Of course he couldnt hear the storm because he is stone deaf! (there is something to be said about being deaf)...of course, deaf as I am, even I could hear the angry wind!

This storm rivaled Ike in sound. It sounded like a gazillion freight trains were trying to run over the house!

Fortunately we had no house damage, but all the outside stuff was rearranged! Must a been a murder of crows ! ! ! I'll swannie, AH DEW HATE STORMS OF THAT MAGNITUDE! ! !!! Well, hoo does, eh what ???

Ah dew hope all yall faired well...Hey Kay, yall ok?

I just remembered, Tom Gann was aat the ram spring fling. Didnt get to talk to him, except to shake his hand and say Hi, but glad to see him as well as others! Even if I didnt talk to anyone there, and was just able to sit and watch, there is something so comforting about seeing everyone!

Bunny, how gratifying it must be to author a book and have it published! ! ! Wow, after my sugery I will have my beloved order a copy. I dont know if it is easy for you to sit down and write, but it is very difficult for me! Writing is a whole other discipline indeed! I have started a book or two, and have yet to get past the first chapters. I reread it, and change it constantly. Plus when I take a break from writing, then I lose momentum and direction! I'm not sure if it's mental capacity, or lack there of, or just the tough discipline of an undertaking different from the norm in ones life!

Well, no matter, congratulations on your acomplishments! Other books I would like to read, are the books that Libby Custer wrote after her husband G. A. Custer and his men were masacreed at Little Big Horn. Hey Wayne, have you read any of those?

Ok, time to go...just ramblin...been hurting very bad today, so had to take some drugs!

Once again, thanks to one and all, Larry, Jenny, jackie, Bill, Mike, Susan, Bill et al, for the well wishes! One of these days, we are gonna give a big thankyou party up here on the hill, for all our wonderful waltrip friens!

Keep the sun at your six and ride boldly ride...

you know that there are at least 415 people from 64 are praying for you. not counting all of your other friends.

take care

Beau Wann, Jr.

415 eh!  A guy cant get any luckier than that. But really, good ol doc Frahnkensteen says oncet out of recovery, I should be able to just get up and walk out, and if I were a man, I would walk home from College Station, and if I were a REAL man, I should just run home...that ol boy is an optometrist aint he! ! !

Thank yall so very much for all the prayers and well wishes...safety in numbers! ! !

I've been trying since early this morn to get into this site...so whilst I was waiting for it to come up, I put in 8 hours of hard work. Moved the living area around and cleaned, vacuumed and mopped and dusted. Moved the couch and three chairs and three tables to opposite sides of where they were, plus put velvet pads on them all, then got out and mowed a couple of acres, hung a solar light down by the gate. I thought maybe by doing all that stuff, it would jar my back into being right, so I could just skip sugery tomorrow. No such luck! ! !

Dang, I'll have to get up at 4 am in the morn (when else would 4 am be), shower with a bottle of killer soap they gave me to wash with, get my warm polar bear socks ready, and not have breakfast or coffee or anything! That there is sacrilege, not having any coffee in the morning.....They even told me not to smoke my last cigar. Well, I hope it's not my last one! It is, but it isnt!  Ok, just leaver be!

Ok, thank you one and all again for the well wishes...I hope to return em to you Friday evening....

Keep the sun at your 6 and ride boldly ride...

your frien and Doctor of Idgitry Olbeauwannkanobie

I want you to know I'll be praying for you tomorrow...really enjoy reading all your posts!  You seem to have a unique writing style that keeps me laughing.  You may not remember me as I can't think of any classes we had together.  I went through the special soap shower recently when I had knee replacement surgery.  I am still in recovery mode but get to go to Napa Valley for my checkups!  Keep us posted on your progress.7
