Giving you orders is a good thing.  Sounds like she is on the mend.  Both of you hang in there.

If giving orders is a sign of good health, I must be married to the healthiest woman alive.

GREAT!, BroBeau!! Thanks for the SIGN -- what a laugh!  And you found your microwave song!!!

Just FYI - we had a great reunion committe meeting at Beverly (Hengt) and Jim Allen's house yesterday. Certainly appreciate them hosting the meeting and they have a gorgeous home in Spring!! Thanks to everyone for their help --- Barbara Porter, Lynell Carapezza, Susan Howard, Lynn Wren and Charlie Burkhardt, Beau and Diane Wann, Johnny and Becky Sheffield, Beverly and Jim Allen!

We completed all the reunion mailouts and Lynn will mail today!!  Look, it's only 222 days before our 50th class reunion!   Please get your registration forms and money back to Lynn Wren Burkhardt as soon as possible.  We have a signed contract with Woodlands hotel --- that means we need your money to cover the cost, don't make us sweat it!!!!!

Hugs,

J

Just shot this picture of Sammy sleeping on the window sill that Big Ollie use to sleep on. The picture of Oliver that Sammy is hugging was on the table. I guess it got moved by a cat tail or something. Not a posed photo, cause Sammie wont let you get near him...he runs under the bed if he sees you.

Rather touching wouldnt you say! ! !

Beau, we haven't seen any updates on your home being built.  How's it going?  Any photos?

Hey there, just thinking about you...the well was drilled 3 weeks ago...the hardee plank siding is on the outside, most of it. Winders and doors are all installed...insulation on all exterior walls...wiring and rough in plumbing in...buglear alarm and agazillion wires are in...duct work in...Roof is out there, but on the ground...farplace insert and chimney is in...here are a couple of pics...

Front                                                                                   back

The porch railing and ballusters and screened in porch are not there obviously

So, nuf about us...How are youse youtes doing?  You look good ! ! !

Wow, Beau!  It's a lot farther along than I expected.  You ought to be in by summer?  Thanks for sharing the photos.  I REALLY like it!!!!  Actually, Charles has been doing very well.  His vitals have been good since he came home, no temps.  He has PT & OT 4 days a week and he's been doing it on his own on the days therapists don't come.  They actually evaluated his progress this morning and said when the surgeon says, he can go to rehab at a day facility.  So, we see surgeon March 27 and hopefully he gets his brace off before or on that day.  Now, he just has to get his strength and balance back and get off the walker.  Next step would be a cane.  We go to MD Anderson April 9-15 for CT, MRI (to see whether radiation killed the tumor on T2), appointments with all his doctors, and will get his vocal chord repaired permanently.

We got our 50th Reunion flyer in the mail today.  It's getting closer and closer.  Great job, Reunion Committee.  Thanks for all you do to make the upcoming reunion an enjoyable experience for all of us.

Yes, Beau, your house is a lot farther along than I thought too.  I was just invisioning a concrete slab on the prairie.  It looks very nice and homey.  Fits is well in Chappell Hill.

Jimmie, it sounds like Charles is holding his own.  Hope the news is good in April and he can continue to progress.  You two continue to set an example for tolerence and perseverance.  God bless you both!

Really great gnus about charles...waiting for even GREATER AND BETTER gnus...looking forward to the day yall can sit out on the front porch sippin a cool one...and that could be lemonade or tea or any dang thang that is your hearts desire, or your palettes desire...Charles and I can shoot at the cans on the fence posts in the valley...I think the cans will be safe, from me at least, cause I cant see that far...and it is about 1200 ft...of course, Charles can hit golfballs off the front porch...I have a metal driver and a nine iron and a putter left from my set of unused clubs...got lots of golf balls...most of em are special and have that little red stripe around em...

Or, we can operate the RC helicopter I plan on buying...terrorize the cows in Clay Walkers pastures...They say he lives behind us...dont know perzactly just who THEY is, but thats what they say...maybe he'll bring us cookies for a "welcom to the neighborhood" gesture...sing us a song too!

And, our house is on the way home to Big D little a double l a s...Well, sort of...I call it the scenic route to Dallas...lot less traffic anyhoo...and, you can stop off in Hearne and visit with Lynn...her hospitality just cant be beat...

All that's sort of a plan anyway...

Teddie Jordan

Jimmie Lee, that sounds like solid progress. We continue to pray for you both daily, and you are doing a great job of quarterbacking his care.

Beau, I really like the house. It looks like it  belongs in that beautiful part of Texas. Are you starting to see bluebonnets coming up? Full bloom  should only be a few weeks away.

Jimmie Lee Smith (Brawner)

Jan, have been keeping up with your travels via FB.  Hope y'all have a wonderful time and keep posting photos.

Jimmie Lee Smith (Brawner)

Teddie and Beau - if/when you see Bluebonnets, post photos so those of us not having access to the Texas beauties can share.  Hopefully, there will be lots of blooms along I45 on our way down to Houston April 9.

Beau, funny you should mention Clay Walker as your neighbor.  He's supposedly a neighbor of ours too here in Boerne.  "They" say he has a home in the fancy-schmancy neighborhood adjacent to our acreage.  Maybe summer home here, winter home there or vice versa.  George Strait of course is just "down the road", his home (at least one of them) and his recording studio (at least one of them too).  One of my doctors is just adjacent to his studio in Leon Springs.  Also lots of SA Spurs live in our area.  Boerne/Leon Springs is just crawling with celebrities!

Send directions to your new place.  We would love to sip a drink with you & Diane on our way coming in 290 to visit our kids in Cypress.  Oh, just thought that we haven't been invited.  Charles & Jimmie get priority, but can we be next in line?

03/15/14 02:19 PM #6292

Beau Wann, Jr.

Hey Jan, you and your beloved have a standing invitation...we love company...especially folks that we know...also bring some pictures of your travels or whatever sort of digital storage you keep them in, and maybe we can do a slide show on my soon to be 1,000,000 inch big screen tv...well maybe not a mil, but at least a bigun...I love a slide show, especially narrated by folks that been there and done that! ! !

Did I mention Portofino, Italy? Saw a concert there, Adrea Bocelli, only on the tube, not personally, but what a beautiful place. I was thinking, if I didnt live in Texas, I might like to live in Portofino...then I researched it, and it is on the Italian Riviera ! ! ! Even If I had enough money to live there, I still wouldnt have enough would I!  Ja Sheure, methinks I would like Italy! ! ! My best friend Marine buddy Frankie, is getting married this May in Italy. He told me the town, but I cant remember just where, but he and his intended are being married by the mayor of that town...how cool is that? I told him I could marry them in the chappel in Chappell Hill, but he said he didnt want to impose...what a thoughtful guy, eh!

If any bluebonnets do happen to sprout up on "the hill", I will of course postem...howsomever, the dozers and trucks and workers have probably ruint this years crop...BUT,  we plan on riding Pegasus up in that area this BB season, that is if it quits raining...we will take a zillion pictures....

I heard Sandra Bullock and Leann Rimes each had a ranch up around Fredricksburg...actually saw them at the Navajo grill in Fredricksburg, not at the same time...I was afraid they were going to come over and disrupt our dinner and ask me for my autograph, but they didnt...only reason we got to go to the Navajo grill, is our son Kevin is best friends with the owners son. Plus they own a coffee company there.  County Road? Farm to market Road? coffee company! Good coffee!

Also Ol Lone Wolf Chuck Norris has a ranch outside of Bryan by our old ranch...I was gonna go over and ask to borrow a cup of sugar,  but probably would a got a cup of whoopass instead, and besides,  he probably doesnt use sugar in his food !

Funny how this PC stuff works in only one direction …………….

We are advised to not judge all Muslims by the actions of a few lunatics, but we are encouraged to judge all gun owners by the actions of a few lunatics.

And here's another one worth considering, it seems we constantly hear about how Social Security is going to run out of money. How come we never hear about Welfare running out of money?  What's interesting is as part of the first group we earned the money, paid income taxes on it and now pay income taxes on it again (85%) when the money paid in is drawn out and the second group doesn’t even have to pass a drug test to receive theirs.

Profound BS, isn't it...as I do my taxes on a rainy Saturday afternoon.....

Kenneth Treuter (Treuter)

If you oppose the destruction of faith and family values worth having you are a lunatic.  If you hold GOD's Word as both inerrant and inspired you are a lunatic.  If you oppose the fraudulent resident of the Constitutional Republic's White House and Oval Office you are both a lunatic and a racist.  If Christ Jesus is you personal LORD, God, Savior and Redeemer from sin, death, and an eternity in Hell wherein its residents will be separated from GOD and His Kingdom and citizens you are a lunatic.  If you clearly understand that abortion is nothing less than murder of an unborn child you are a lunatic.  If you know that homosexuality is a perversion of nature and an abomination before GOD ALMIGHTY you are a lunatic.  If you oppose same-sex "marriages" you are a lunatic.  If you believe that the United States Constitution is the supreme law of the land you are a lunatic. If you believe people should work and earn a living and give a portion of it for the poor, the widow, and the hungry and homeless child and adult and then save what you can and contribute to the advancement of American exceptionalism you are a lunatic.  If you are retired and drawing social security you are a burden and if you insist you paid for it in advance you are a lunatic.  If you support conservatives and conservatism then you are a lunatic.  If you believe in the right of self defense and the defense of a third party you are a lunatic.  If you believe the U.S. Military should strive to keep world peace to the extent that such is possible then you are a lunatic.  If you vote Republican you are a lunatic.

If you hate GOD, hate Christ, hate the Bible, hate Christians, hate America, hate everyone who doesn't agree with Darwin and Marx and Stalin and Hitler and Mao you are what lunatics need to protect themselves and everyone else from them.

If you have figured out that I am a lunatic willing to stand in the way of a libertard's progressive agenda and will not hesitate to protect with deadly force what is mine and anyone I see needing my assistance from being murdered or maimed for life then you surely must have also figured out that I am one of a few, if any (and it doesn't matter how many any is if it is any at all) that you really need to fear as you come for me for being a complete and unabashed LUNATIC.  Therefore, don't feel badly if you get hurt or worse when you encroach upon my rights, liberties, freedoms because you should have expected nothing less from a lunatic.   Got it? Yes, then good.  No, then GOD (Who you say is either dead or doesn't exist) help you!

I, for one, do not think that use of language should be for the purpose of fraud but instead believe we should call a spade a spade and a bawd a bawd.

Scotty, so glad to hear Lola is improving.  Know the rehab is hard (Charles has been going through that for a couple of months now and it's harder than we would have imagined when your body is weak).  Hope Lola's evaluation goes well and she gets to go home soon.  You are both in our prayers.  Keep us posted.

We got home from Israel late Friday night.  I came home with a chest cold, but it was worth it.  It was truly amazing.  I prayed for Charles and jimmy lee at the western wall.  We walked and climbed all over the country.  Now I have to reread Joshua and the gospels since I have seen so much.
