Douglas Romans
Sad to say but Howard commited suicide in August 1990. I rarely saw or spoke to him since the mid 70's. Howard was the nicest guy, a staunch friend, very intelligent and witty, and somewhat "dorky" (for which I was criticized by some for my association with him--which I NEVER cared about). I last spoke to him about 2 weeks before his death in which he stated he wanted to "meet up", which never happened. To this day I wonder if I could have helped him avoid this tragedy but I really don't think so nor do I worry about it.Doug Romans

Doug, thanks for information --- that's so sad -- I didn't know.Teddie Jordan
Howard was simply a nice guy. Fran and I once ran into him and his mom at Foleys in Northwest Mall in the late 60's and it was good to see him. We both just naturally liked him. So sorry to hear of his death and the cause of it. Rest in peace Howard.
