Attended Sam Houston State University, graduated 1968 with BS in Industrial Management and Sociology. Member of Delta Tau Delta Fraternity. Been working in various positions in the Energy sector since graduation. Married in 1978. Volunteer in various non profit organizations such as CASA (Court -Appointed Child Advocate), SCORE, and Junior Achievement. Volunteer for Delta Tau Delta Fraternity as a Division VP. My wife and I have been members of Epiphany of the Lord Catholic Church since Jan. 1983.

In 2012 after 41 years of teaching elementary school my wife retired. I semi-retired in December 2014, but still work as a consultant/contractor in the Oil & Gas Industry.

In 2016 my wife and I started a business, D&J Designs, where we refinish, repair, refurbish and restore furniture. We also custom design and build farmhouse furniture.

Presently, I volunteer for several groups. 1) Member of the Patient Family Advisory Council at Methodist Houston West Hospital; 2) Division Vice President for Delta Tau Delta Fraternity working with undergraduate chapters at SFA University and Sam Houston State University; 3) Volunteer at SCORE, assisting new companies get off the ground. Member of the Knights of Columbus where I am both a 3rd Degree and 4th Degree.

Since we were very lucky after Hurricane Harvey I helped muck and rebuild many homes of those less fortunate in our Katy community as well as friends in other areas of Houston.
