Coach Gene Agleton

In loving memory of our dear Coach Agleton

Former Waltrip coach Gene Agleton, 81, died Wednesday, March 2nd in Fredericksburg, TX, with services held there Saturday, March 5th at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.  Agleton was also a long-time parishoner at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Houston. He served as an asst. under Waltrip’s first-ever football coach, Les Burton, before becoming head coach upon Burton’s promotion into the HISD Athletic Dept. offices.
