Jerry, thank you for letting us know about Terry.  I checked obituaries in Galveston paper and nothing listed today.  Please let us know if you receive additional updates on his services.

Jim, Thanks for providing thre link to Terry Gaustad's obituary.  That was on my list of things to do when I got back from my doctor appointment.  I will get it posted when I get home.  I see you have problems sleeping too.

Frank Lynn, my wife is from Bridgend and a lot of the family lives in Pontardawe, north of Swansea. An uncle moved to Scotland and grandparents were from Swansea. Ann's 95 year old mom passed away this week which was not unexpected and she died peacefully in her own home with Ann by her side. Wales is a beautiful country and we have enjoyed all of our visits there. Ann was brought up 4 or 5 miles from the ocean and loves walking on the beautiful beaches.

So many memories from so long ago. 60 years! The forum gives some us the way to share where we were in those days that traumatized the country.  I appreciate getting to know you all better because you share your experiences.

Lynn Wren (Burkhardt)

I have permission from Fran to post information regarding Ted's condition.

Teddie is in Memorial Herman Hospital downtown in the burn unit.  He had an accident with the fire place suffering third degree burns on part of his back, a spot on the back of his head, and on his neck.  Second surgery today indicated he has some infection in the wounds. Another surgery on Friday to determine if the infection is gone. Infection needs to be cleared before they can do any skin grafting. He has a very long road to reovery.

Teddie is in good spirits.  Fran is strong.  Both have a strong faith in God and an amazing family to support them.

Please pray for Teddie, Fran, their family and all caregivers.

Thanks,

Lynn

Mary Randall (Meneley)

It's been too long that I looked on the message page. Hearing about Teddie drew me to find out more so I'm checking daily to be updated. Teddie was in first grade and then again in sixth grade with me at Oak Forest. I spent second thru fifth at Coop Elementary where my mother taught kindergarten. Teddie has been in school with me u til we graduated and has always been a good friend. It grieves me terribly to know of the pain he is suffering. Tom and I are praying for him day and night.
Thanks to everyone for sharing your life experiences which I have enjoyed reading.

He continues to be that way inspite of his situation. God bless you Teddy through your surgeries and healing process!🙏

Today is Skeeter's birthday.  I can't sing (sound like a frog) but I would if I could.
Teddie said his new name is Crispy!  I bet he is the favorite patient by far.  This has taken a toll on Fran.  The patient rests but the caregiver doesn't   They have wonderful kids who help her, but I pray for her lots.

My grandkids are way grown. Youngest is 23 and just finished her CPA tests.  Now she has letters after her name.  She is going to be president of the world.her life's ambition has been to be smarter than her older brother.  Now she has a Masters Degree and he doesn't    Kids are so different.  He works for Google and has a great job.  Right now he is on paternity leave since his wife had baby #2.  Now I have two great grandchildren.  First one is now two.  I am blessed.  The world has certainly changed.  Paternity leave.  Wow!  When I had my first daughter I was shown the door when I was 7 months pregnant.  "Don't come back because women should stay home with children"   Of course I was the breadwinner while Ron was in med school.  I was working elsewhere when she was five weeks  old.  My mother took care of her.  Now mothers and fathers get three months leave.  Different times.
