Comments:

Since 1964 - college (U.of H.), marriage (49 years in June), raising kids (dogs, hamsters, PTA, baseball, softball, piano lessons, karate lessons, etc.) and now babysitting grandchildren. Darrell and I started our own business in 1979 and I was the Controller there for 30 years. We sold the business and retired in December 2007. Since then we have been traveling and spending 50% of our time between our home in Houston and our bay house in Galveston (lost the downstairs to Ike!). We wanted a new adventure so we sold both our homes and moved up on the north shore of Lake Travis in Waterford on Lake Travis right out of Lago Vista. This is "country living" after living in Houston all my life but I figured if I could hang out with the bears and salmon fish in the wilderness of Alaska I could handle the deer in the yard eating my plants, coyotes, fox and racoons here. However, the scorpion stings are not fun. I found out that Linda Webster Jennings from the class of 1965 lives in Lago Vista so we have reacquainted and have been getting into trouble together.

Life has been great to me. I have a great husband, great kids, great friends and a great dog. I love to travel, garden, read, water ski, snow ski and am now into snowmobiling because at this age it is easier to get up on!!

Amy Dean Hammett and I are still good friends and she is still married to Gordon. Since I first created my profile I have been contacted by quite a few classmates and I have really enjoyed hearing from them.

School Story:

Just memories. I enjoyed school and had fun, fun, fun. Everything I know about football I learned from the guys at the games and I have been a football fan ever since. Sheryl Knight's and Thonda Thiessen's slumber parties were fun. Teaching Amy Dean to drive in my parent's Buick is embedded in my memory since "pealing out in reverse" is a little frightening. I have lots of good memories driving around with Syliva Aaron in her Malibu convertible and going to Galveston. Pretty much liked everyone in our class If I had to go back in time, and go to high school again, I would pick Waltrip and the same classmates I spent four years with.

Belated happy birthday. Can you believe it? 67 years. Are you going to the reunion?
