Comments:

I went on to Southwestern University in Georgetown Texas, received a degree in German, with a minor in English, and went to work for the Houston Chronicle. I married the summer after college, and when my husband got opportunities to travel, I quit the Chronicle job and traveled with him in his work for a time. We moved to Glenwood Springs, CO after about a year of that, and then to Mountain Home, AR, and back to Glenwood Springs -- which is where I lived when I entered The Iliff School of Theology in 1976. I received the M. Div. degree and was appointed to a church in North Dakota (1 mile from Canada), which I had served as an intern. That began my sojourn in the Dakotas. I am still serving United Methodist Churches in the Dakotas -- but after 18 years in ND have moved South, first to Pierre, SD and now to Hartford - near Sioux Falls. I'm on my way back to AR for retirement -- whenever the economy lets me do that -- as I have purchased a retirement home in Hot Springs, Village, AR.
I have been fortunate to travel extensively. Some of it has been study-related (2 trips to Israel; Central America (during the Iran-Contra years); Soviet bloc in 1988 - just a year before it all came crashing down; former Eastern European countries, England, and places associated with the Protestant Reformation and the Holocaust.
For fun I have been to China, all over Europe, and Canada, and back to Germany in 2006 -- one my own with a rental car - what an amazing time!

School Story:

I'm a 1965 grad, but knew many of you folks, too. So I'm glad to be able to log in and see what's what with that group we "looked up to" through our formative years.
