Fran Vackar (McMullen)

Fran Vackar (McMullen)

3/30/17 - Jenny Taylor has been helping me find some of our "Missing" classmates.  Unfortunately, she found this information regarding the death of our dear classmate, Fran Vackar, who died September 18, 2015.

Per Jenny -
I found Fran. She must have married a McMullen because that was her name when she passed away.  However, I couldn’t find marriage record.  I did find her under McMullen on findagrave.  She had two brothers that went to Waltrip, LeRoy and Larry.  They were twins, born 8 April 1945 and I think graduated in 1962.  They also had an older  sister, Evelyn, born in 1942  that went to Reagan. Here is the information on Fran from findagrave.  There is a picture of her on Ancestry.  It is for sure our Fran.

Fran married Bill McMullen, class of 62 or 63 in 1967.  They were living in Burton, Tx.  I live in Brenham, but did not know she died until now.  She was a friend, but we had lost touch.

I remember Fran, she was a sweet girl. I also remember Larry and Leroy, I shared some classes with them and believe they were class of '63. Also remember Bill McMullen.

Thanks Jenny for your considerable efforts. Even though it's sad news when we learn of a death, it's important that everyone knows and can honor their memory.

I lived in the same neighborhood that the Vackars lived. We were Cooley Elementary kids. I wondered what happened to Fran, Leroy and Larry. Thanks to y’all for gathering this information.
