Just received a call from Jim Hendley's sister in law with some very sad news. Jim passed away early today from an apparent heart attack. Plans right now are for a visitation on Wednesday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Pat Foley Funeral Home. Funeral on Thursday at 10:00 AM at Pat Foley.
Jim was a great guy and he will be sorely missed.

Update - July 5, 2011 - Jim Hendley's obituary
Jim Hendley, 67 was born on December 27, 1943 and entered into eternal rest on Monday, July 4, 2011 in Houston.
He will be remembered as a funny, fun loving man. Jim was a good artist in music and painting and loved fishing and the outdoors. He was also an entrepreneur. He leaves to cherish fond memories, his wife of 34 years, Charlotte; daughter, Holly; son, Luke; brother, Bill Hendley and his wife Beverley and several in-laws, out-laws, nieces and nephews. He is reunited with his parents, Pat and Evaline Hendley.
The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, July 6, 2011 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. and resuming on Thursday, July 7, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. until the Celebration of Life to be held at 10:00 a.m. Mr. Hendley will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery following the services. The family requests memorial donations in Mr. Hendley's honor be made in lieu of flowers to Texas Heart Institute at St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital at The Texas Heart Institute Development Office, MC 3-117, P.O. Box 20345 , Houston, TX 77225-0345.
