Our dear classmate, Judy Ballenger, passed away on March 6.  Services will be March 16 in Athens, TX.  Please keep her family in your prayers.

JUDITH ANN (Ballenger) DERRAGON

Judith Ann Ballenger Deragon, 66, of Athens died at home on March 6, 2013.
She had been a resident of the lake area for over 30 years.

She was born in Joplin, Missouri on October 6, 1946 and spent her youth
growing up in Houston, Texas. During high school, Judy played in the Houston
All-City Band and performed for President John Kennedy the evening before
his death.

She was preceded in death by her father, Harley Ballenger of Jasper and
brother, Craig Ballenger of Austin.

She is survived by her mother, Virginia Ballenger of Garland; daughter and
son-in-law, Cindy and Ricky Marion of Athens; son and daughter-in-law, Chris
and Kriss Ballenger of Eustace; sister, Linda Tyler of Marble Falls;
brother, Stephen Ballenger of Garland; granddaughters, Krista Navratil,
Haley Cowan, Nicole and Marissa Ballenger; grandson, Jason Ballenger,
great-grandson Braycen Navratil; nephews, Jason and Matt Tyler of Austin;
great nieces, Shannon and Izzy Tyler and many friends around the state.

A memorial service for family and close friends will be held Saturday, March
16th, 2:00 pm at The Church of the Nazarene, 509 Robbins Rd, Athens, TX. In
lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the
charity of your choice.
