Carolyn Halbkat Heideman Class of '66

Information copied from Waltrip '66 website

Carolyn Halbkat Heideman died Tuesday, November 14, 2017.  Carolyn died peacefully and comfortably in the hospital with family at her side.  She fought a long and brave battle with cancer.  Thru many ups and downs Carolyn stayed so optimistic about her health issues.

Carolyn was the one who wanted Waltrip '66 web site to be established and patiently and persistently encouraged me to work with her to make it happen.  This was Carolyn. She loved her friends and family and life.  She wanted to make sure all the Waltrip classmates could stay in contact.

Some of her family has indicated they would like to be able to see the comments we share of our love for Carolyn. If you will post your thoughts below, they will be shared with her family.

We will miss you Carolyn!

I had been counting the years for the 50th reunion because I had so much fun at the 40th. I was not able to go which broke my heart. Many of you know that I am, going thru chemo and radiation for cancer. My fears and tears are in the hands of God and He will get me thru this. I was planning on gettng well and traveling with my husband Bill to maybe Alaska. Well, that is a dream that will never happen because Bill passed away this Dec 19, 2016. God has a purpose for me and I am looking forward to finding out what it is. I have many changes to make in my life so I hope they have a 55th so I can be there to see you all.

Carolyn, bless your dear heart and soul. I was in Helen's class and visited your home for several very memorable parties in the late elementary and Black Jr. high years. Later 50's. Your lovely home and your parents and their hospitality stand out in my memories of that time.

I got to know and enjoy your dad a few years later when my young family attended St.Stephen's church. Bless your family!
