We had our 45th Class Reunion on October 3, 2009 -- it was fantastic!!!  We're all looking forward to the next one!!  Can we all wait - five years - it will be hard to do.

Reunion Committee had their last meeting yesterday (Sunday, 9/13) at Johnny and Becky Sheffield's house to finalize our reunion plans.  Thanks Johnny and Becky!

Remember Saturday, October 3 is our big event with a Friday night gathering in the bar at Crowne Plaza hotel for all of us that want to start the party early!  We're getting close to 150 attendees.  Those that plan to attend, but haven't sent their money or plan to pay at the door - PLEASE tell us now.  We need an accurate headcount for the dinner. Updated 9/3/09 -- Reunion is a month away and and plans are being finalized!  Our next reunion committee meeting is September 13 at Johnny Sheffield's house.  We now have over 140 attendees for our 45th Class Reunion and more are sending their money.  Com'on "Waltrip Family" join the fun! 

Updated 7/14/09 - reunion committee met last Sunday, July 12 and we discussed final preparations!!  More folks need to send in money to Lynn Wren Burkhardt --- ple-e-e-e-e-e-ease! And if you need to make hotel reservations at Crowne Plaza - do now - rooms are limited.

Reunion committee had another succcessful meeting at Barbara's on Sunday.  These are the updates on ticket price and times:

We blocked more of the poolside rooms because they overlook the pool and you have a direct walk-out. We thought it would be a nice area to socialize. It's 3 levels -- .

The main area of hotel have the tower suites which have all been remodeled -- and overall -- lobby, ballroom, restaurant, bar and rooms are perfect for our gathering - plenty of room and prices are right.  There is also a breakfast buffet Saturday and Sunday morning in restaurant at discounted price of $8.00 a plate. Please purchase your breakfast tickets at the hotel lobby desk and not in the restaurant prior to breakfast or at checkin.

Reunion committee had another meeting earlier this month -- sorry no pics.    We will make decision on ticket prices, etc. as soon as we meet with hotel reps again - we will be tasting and selecting food -- tough, I know, but someone has to do it!!!!  Our next meeting will be January 25, 2009.  I see many have completed the survey -- under Class Reunion Survey tab -- I hope you are checking the results.

10/20/2008 - We had our second Reunion Committee meeting yesterday - 10/19/2008 at Barbara's house.  Again the fun!  Hurricane Ike put us behind on our planning -- but we are full speed ahead now!

Update 8-20-08:  We had our first Reunion Committee meeting Sunday (8/10/08) at Clay's restaurant and the plans are flying!!  We set a tenative date for 45th reunion to be October 9 and 10, 2009 (Friday and Saturday).  Place to be announced -- we are looking at hotels and Johnny Sheffield, Lynn Wren Burkhardt and Lynell Carapezza Johnson have already given us feedback on some hotels.  Way to go!!!   Beau Wann has recommended a catering service and so on -- the date will be confirmed.  Below are pics to prove we were hard at work.  And a big THANKS to Johnny from all of us for picking up the tab!
